At Augustana Lutheran Church, it sure was the Sermon of the Century. Here is a church located next to the Meterodome that averages about 35 regular attenders. However, not on Pentecost Sunday. William E. Berg turned 100 years old and in celebration he wanted to return to his old church and do what he's always done "deliver the best message in the world." At first, I was the only one sitting up in the balcony waiting for it to begin. Suddenly the balcony started to flood with people. Over 800 people showed up to church that Sunday. I asked the couple next to me if this was their church and they said after reading the article in the StarTribune, they couldn't miss out on hearing William E. Berg speak. He showed us 100 years of wisdom from the pulpit and it was an honor to capture that day.
William E. Berg has written seven books and the first was at age 88!
